It’s hard to tell from anonymous messages if the first part of your message is tongue-in-cheek or not, but in regards to tumblr callouts/exposé blogs, I completely agree. It doesn’t matter how ‘tumblr famous’ someone is or how well liked they are, this site as a whole seems pretty receptive to hearing about who to avoid and why.
This sometimes spins out of control like digging up an off color comment/joke someone made when they were 12 and using it to paint a picture of that person as an evil monster, or whatever, but for the most part it’s refreshing to be part of an online community where if someone screws you over, hurts you, abuses you, etc, you can send out an SOS or a warning to others and it generally won’t be ignored. The same isn’t really true of any other large online community.

I just don’t get why anyone is defending Sarah, honestly. I agree that there are morons and really bad people within gamergate, 100%, and I do suspect there are those who just wanted any reason to go after Sarah within gamergate who don’t really care about the pedophilia so long as it serves a purpose to them to get rid of a critic. But GG aside, I don’t understand how anyone can defend Sarah given the chat logs. I don’t think this changes my opinion of GG as a movement, but it definitely makes me do a 180 on some of her supporters who I had mistakenly believed to be OK people from seeing some of their writing or tweets in the past.
Do any of these people know her in real life? Or do they just know that they all hate the same general group of people on twitter/youtube/wherever? It just seems so… petty to me.
I wouldn’t even defend my closest friend in real life if they had said some of the things Sarah has. If someone who still stands up for Sarah could answer that for me, “why is Sarah so important to stick up for even now”, I’d REALLY love to know.
Another anti-Gamergate person stepping forward to condemn Sarah. Kudos to her having much more bravery than I have in saying this under her real twitter account, especially as a survivor of CSA.
Ultimately, this isn’t about Gamergate or some secrete anti-trans agenda. This is about exposing a pedophile.
EDIT: I haven’t been online a lot the past couple days. Reading some more opinions sent to me on anon and elsewhere that this could be potentially a troll account. I’d like to believe that someone isn’t lying about their own abuse, and give this person the benefit of the doubt, but I have my suspicions after reading some of her other (older) tweets. I’ll just leave the post up for now until I maybe learn more about her? I’m not a big fan of deleting what I already wrote in this case.
another former ffshrine user (claiming to be a former mod) confirming that Sarah discussed pedophilia at length for many many years and was taken seriously. This wasn’t “trolling”.
Someone on anon told me that hackers are leaking or have dumped tons of private messages from ffshrine.org, recently (yesterday? Or perhaps the day before yesterday). I won’t be discussing them here. Everything I cover here is from logs that were accessible on ffshrine.org directly (before they were removed from webcitation.org archives) or from Roph, one of the chat’s users. If someone from ffshrine sends me private messages they themselves had with Sarah and can prove to me they are the same user from the chat, I will publish them here. But I won’t be discussing the new leak here, as allegedly it also contains user info for many many users of the forums, perhaps personal info, etc. Not what I’m interested in discussing here, at all.
If any former ffshrine users who had discussions with Sarah about pedophilia would like to reach out and share any messages they may have, please send me an ask.

EDIT: All I’ve edited is Sarah’s birth name since I personally as blog owner don’t want to bring up the “dead naming” debate and not everyone reading the blog knows about her old name, all the rest of the messages are left in tact as another testimony from a former ffshrine user.
